This is one of the most inspirational videos I have ever seen. Very touching. It is something to watch how at first he could hardly run and at the end it looked like he could run forever. Makes me want to go out and exercise right now!

mate dont you remember my awesome rolling stick from the regionals? my mate lent it to me and she has had it for 13 years. so not exactly revolutionary but... a great tool to help none the less.

Such an important issue! Good post Hewi!!

Unfortunately I've seen it time and time again in the martial arts. Guys who fought in their twenties and trained and overtrained and kept pushing through, so as not to appear soft are now in their forties having knee, shoulder and hip reconstructions. Back problems, arthritis and joint pain is the norm for them because they didn't listen to their bodies and continuously pushed through. I wonder, if in hindsight, they would put their bodies through the same knowing what effect it would have on their older beings.

Train smart, learn from others' mistakes and listen to your body before things go too far.

Good luck with your recovery and just like you said, look after yourself!

Hey Andrew,

Great blog! You've got some awesome articles. You clearly take fitness and health very seriously. I work with some fitness brands and was just wondering if you would be interested in getting involved with us and some of our products? If you would like some more information, feel free to email me. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hey chris,

Thanks for tuning in to the blog.
As you mentioned you sound very active and if your looking for spice in your sporting pursuits, Crossfit might be for you.
A quick search on the net uncovered Crossfitconnection in the Ontario area. Click through to their website mate and check it out.
I have not heard of thrive eating. I will investigate.

Thanks,

Not a crossfitter... yet. Just tuned into your site. Looks very interesting.
I play hockey and run.. so I can play.
Two questions
1- anyone in Ontario, Canada who instructs crossfit? so I can learn everything
2- about nutrition.. have you heard of Thrive eating? It promotes healthy eating AND quick recovery.. so you can get back the gym the next day.. interesting reads
Thanks
